Rasha Abdul-Rahim is Deputy Director of Amnesty Tech where she leads its work on AI and Big Data, including examining the human rights impacts of AI and ML systems. She also leads Amnesty’s work on the human rights implications of autonomous weapons and sits on the Steering Board of the Campaign to Stop Killer Robots. Before that, she was a Researcher/Advisor in the Military, Security and Police Team, where she worked on various policing, arms control and disarmament issues. She holds a BA in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a Graduate Diploma in Law from BBP Law School.
